CHARACTER
Name: Adam Young (aka The Antichrist, the Adversary, Destroyer of Kings, Angel of the Bottomless Pit, Great Beast that is called Dragon, Prince of this World, Father of Lies, Spawn of Satan and Lord of Darkness.)
Canon: Good Omens
Timeline: Post-book.
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

Personality: Adam is a very typical eleven year-old boy growing up in the 1990s. He likes riding bikes and watching lots of television and movies and playing outside with his friends, causing all sorts of neighborhood trouble as he goes. He's got a bit of a mischevious streak and he tends to be in positions of leadership with his friends. He's the most well known, having people in his town say that he's got 'the old Adam' in him, referring to his troublemaking ways and ever-present curiosity, and most people in the town end up pejoratively calling Adam and his gang 'The Them'.

A lot of his personality has to do with his upbringing. Adam is the Antichrist, but as a baby, he was involved in a swap at the hospital gone completely wrong. Instead of him going with a family that would have named him Warlock and had constant supervision by both Heaven and Hell to shape him into someone that would be more willing to accept and grow into his destiny, he was accidentally given to a plain, normal family in Lower Tadfield, England, who had no idea of his true nature. He effectively went off the radars of both Heaven and Hell for eleven years, and was brought up by a family that had little to no beliefs in the supernatural. He, therefore, was very curious about anything strange and unusual he saw on the television, often making up games with his friends and sitting around in their favorite hangout, a dirt field somewhere in town, telling them about all the new things he learned whie they sat enraptured. It's been said that when Adam spoke, everything else seemed unimportant and he was the center of attention in a room - one of his abilities as the Antichrist that he uses often and without knowing it, most of the time. He has the tendency to come off as a brat and feels he is always right amongst people his own age, and originally distrusted adults, as most did not like him and he felt that some of them hid secrets or lied to hiim. Since the averted Apocalypse, he has warmed up to the idea of growing up and of adults in general.

Adam has an intense need within him to make the people he cares about happy, and will do anything in his power to do so, regardless of if he knows he's actually using his reality-warping abilities to make it possible. In town, there is a witch called Anathema who he met and cared about the environment a lot. Adam took to her well, as she was an adult who was warned about him, but treated him as a valuable being and did not find him to be a pest. That night, he unconsciously caused an entire nuclear plant to disappear, complicated machinery and all, and replaced it with a lemon. Later on, when he becomes more aware of his powers as the doom of Armageddon approaches, he begins to scare his friends with his abilities, and his incredible desire to make people happy clashes with these abilities, causing him to want to avert his destiny and to take steps to ensure that the world does not end.

He's known for being a bit idealistic, as it's shown he intakes a lot of fictional media like Star Wars and the Justice League, often nicknaming his gang after whatever story he watched or read about the night before. He was gifted a hellhound for his eleventh birthday by the agents of Hell, but due to his ideas of what a 'proper dog' should be like (i.e. a mongrel), the dog changed from a fearsome beast into a smaller one with a tendency to want to chase his own tail. He even decided it was important to call the dog 'Dog', as it 'saved a lot of trouble.'

It's very clear that there's a lot about the world that Adam doesn't particularly understand yet and possibly doesn't want to understand, as he feels the need to be always right, like when he and his friends decide to reenact the Spanish Inquisition. When one of his friends insists that the Inquisition spoke Latin, he told them that they must have also spoken Spanish, as it was the Spanish Inquisition. He then begins to collect items that he feels are decidedly Spanish, such as a Spanish phrasebook he stole from his sister, maracas with bullfighting on it, Spanish onions, a toy donkey, a very useless Toledo steel sword, and a gravy boat brought back from Spain, to make the ordeal feel more authentic. However, it's apparent that he does not realize or understand the gravity of the actual historical events, as their 'torturing' consisted of swinging Pepper's sister around and throwing her in a lake, much to her delight, and saying 'hasta la vista' and 'ole' a lot.

When Adam realizes his powers, though, and is influenced by Hell, things tend to get a bit ugly. It's said that he becomes distant and otherworldly, even ethereal-seeming, and all of his personality traits are amped up to eleven. He becomes intent that the world is polluted, ruined by adults, and needs to be recreated in a way that he feels will be more ideal. This side of his personality is something he does not like to show and often it seems as if he fears it. Once he realizes he does not want to end the world, he can also use it to his advantage when he faces foes that seem much stronger than him. It's said that in this state of mind, even demons are afraid to look this eleven-year-old in the eye.

First Person:

[He'd been on a train before, only once. His mother had taken him into London to go to a doctor's appointment for something he had he can't remember and really didn't want to, anyway. The fact of the matter is that when he got there, he managed to convince his mother to take him on the London Eye after everything was said and done. Being able to look over the city like that was amazing. It was like the whole world was spread before him.]

Cor...

[Yeah, he's definitely surprised here. He doesn't even remember stepping on the train with Dog, but here they are, in a city that looks absolutely nothing like what London looks like - and he'd seen all of London, he must have. It certainly isn't Tadfield, either. Tadfield's so small that you could learn the rundown of the place in five minutes. But this city, with the tall buildings and long streets - it looks positively huge.

Wicked.]

Alright, Dog. Let's get to finding our way about!

Third Person:

He'd been in the city for a few weeks, yeah, and somehow, Adam and Dog had managed to find a playground. It wasn't the one at home, but it'd do, alright, there were even swings. There was still no sign that this place was near Tadfield, or London, or anywhere they'd seen when they looked on the maps at school. At first, he was upset, and rightfully so. He'd just stopped his world from ending, only to be taken and brought to a completely new one.

But he was eleven, and his brain worked like an adventure-hungry eleven-year old. This was a whole new place to be, to explore, and with new people that were brought here - though he still didn't get why, really - from all other places he'd never heard of. He'd heard stories about a man who could make things appear with just a snap of his fingers, and a group of people who fought monsters, real ones, for a living. There was even talk that Father Christmas himself was here, and Adam had stopped believing in fat men in red suits a long, long time ago.

It was positively amazing. He couldn't wait to tell Pepper and Brian and Wensleydale all about it when they got home. He'd sit on a milk carton with them, in the field, just like usual, and paint grand depictions of the city he was mysteriously taken to overnight. Or...well, it could be even better. From what he'd heard in the stories, people from home could even come here. Which meant that his friends could be coming, and well, that'd just save him a trip.

But he's bored of the swings now, spent all of five minutes on them and felt it was quite enough. Dog sat next to him all the while, whining. Adam located a stick near them and swung one last time, his legs propelling him up into the air as he jumps off, landing next to the stick. He grins, picking it up, and then looks at his canine companion.

"Dog, fetch."
